Dentistry From the Heart ~ This Saturday, September 24, 2011

Dr. Ryan M. Redfearn, Dr. Trent R. Redfearn, Dr. Thomas Stone and Dr. Justin Evanson Are Hosting a Free Day of Dentistry with Dentistry From The Heart

Englewood, Co – September 24, 2011 – Dr. Ryan Redfearn, Dr. Trent Redfearn, Dr. Thomas Stone, and Dr. Justin Evanson are out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as they host the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart.

Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a dentist in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance, and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, dental care simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured. To date, DFTH has helped over 5,000 patients and provided over $1 million in dental care.

“Now more than ever, I know there’s people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance. This Dentistry From The Heart event is my way of giving back to the community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental work,” said Dr. Ryan M. Redfearn

The event will take place on September 24, 2011 at Legacy Dental in Englewood Starting at 7:00am, The doctors and their volunteers will treat the first 200 patients, or however many they can service by 5:00pm. For more information, visit www.legacydentalgroup.net or the organization’s national website at www.dentistryfromtheheart.org.

Dentistry From The Heart is a registered non-profit organization that offers free dental work for people who need it. Dr. Vincent Monticciolo founded the organization as a means to give back to the community and address the growing number of people without dental insurance. In the past seven years, Dentistry From The Heart events have contributed over $1 million in free dentistry and helped over 5,000 patients across the country.

This Won’t Hurt A Bit….

Tooth extractions.
Cavity fillings.
Crowns.
Root canals.

Feeling faint yet?

Chances are, the thought of at least one of those procedures made a chill run up your spine. But this isn’t your parent’s type of dentistry anymore….there’s no need to feel trepidation about dental visits in this day and age. It’s our job to help you to – if not exactly look forward to dental appointments – at least recognize how comfortable modern dentistry can be, and take the fear away from your visits.

If you’ve been putting off having a dental procedure done in anticipation of pain or discomfort, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear of all of the advances in modern dentistry that now eliminate a lot of the old “painful” stereotypes of the dentist. In your parent’s generation, or even early in your own, dentistry was a dreaded process – a necessity only when the patient couldn’t bear the pain of a tooth crisis. A dentist’s job was to pull teeth, fill cavities and patch up dental problems, often when they were at an advanced stage.

Today’s patients recognize the importance of regular continuing-care dental visits to avoid potential problems before they begin. Even once a problem occurs, there are new medications, sedation techniques and technological advances to resolve problems faster, more efficiently and with little to no discomfort.

Sedation Dentistry

It’s time to rest easy. Sedation Dentistry is here at Redfearn Family Dental!

The process for you is simple. After a careful review of your medical history, Dr. Trent Redfearn, a qualified sedation dentist, will choose the appropriate medication(s) and level of sedation to best meet your needs.

Driven to your appointment by a companion, you will most likely take a single pill before arriving at the office on the day of your treatment. More medication may be given depending on the type of procedures being performed and the duration of the appointment. You’ll find your treatment is performed more comfortably than you might ever have thought possible. You’ll be drowsy, and unaware of the time passing by. Our specially trained team will monitor you continually throughout the appointment.

When treatment is complete and you are ready to go home, your companion drives you back and stays with you until you are fully recovered (about 4-10 hours). The big plus? We can accomplish extensive amounts of dentistry at one time, and you’ll have little or no memory of the experience.

Your dental health is important and need not be neglected because you are nervous. Sedation Dentistry is simple and safe. This invitation is open to you, your friends and family.

Wake up to a new, beautiful smile! Please share your dental anxieties with us so we can explain the steps we take right here in our office to make your dental experience a positive and painless event.

Call us at (303) 683-2300 or contact us by email so that we can assist you in achieving the healthy smile you've always wanted!

Use It or Lose It ~ Your Dental Benefits

As we near the end of 2010, we want to remind you to take advantage of any unused dental benefits. Every year you receive a maximum amount from your dental insurance company - make sure to use all available benefits to complete any outstanding treatment. Almost all plans do not let you rollover unused dollars to the next benefit year.

If you have funds set aside in a flexible spending account (FSA) or healthcare saving account (HSA), now is the time to schedule treatment so your copayment amounts can be applied to this year's deductions.

Call us today to schedule your appointment (303) 683-2300. We find that the holiday season is always our "busy time." We look forward to seeing you soon!
